LULEKANI-Learners at Nwasorini Primary School at Lulekani under Ba-Phalaborwa on Thursday received school uniform and bag packs.
This is an initiative facilitated by the MEC for Limpopo Treasury, Seaparo Sekwati in partnership with Absa, Sanlam and MTN.
Sekwati emphasized the need for business to get involved and support such initiatives to ensure that the disadvantaged learners do not have a reason not to go to school.
“This is where socialization starts, yes it there in the family, but this is the most important institution where we are able to socialize our young people by preparing them to become the most responsible adults in society” says MEC Sekwati.
The Principal of Nwasorini Steve Matlala in his vote of thanks appreciated MEC Sekwati for recognising the need of the destitute and acting upon it.
“We all have God given mandate to nurture these children and help them grow in the right manner”
“No one should say this is not my child, we are all mandated to help them have a better future” says Matlala.
