POLOKWANE- Bad Company godfather Thabo Makgobola, popularly known as General Manizo, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for murder and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Manizo was handed 14 years for murder, 5 years for illegal possession of a firearm and 3 years for the possession of ammunition.
However, the 5 and 3 years sentences for the possession of firearm and ammunition will run concurrently with the 14 years sentence for murder
After spending over a year behind bars with countless bail attempts, the Bad Company crew ring leader has pleaded guilty to the murder of his girlfriend and being in possession of firearm and ammunition.
The NPA spokesperson Mashudu Dzangi confirmed that the ‘Taba tša mabad’ hitmaker signed a plea agreement of murder, possession of firearm and ammunition today, Thursday 24 at the Polokwane High Court.
Manizo shot and killed his girlfriend Kgaogelo Maake (23) in March 2022 in Morudji Village, Bolobedu South.
The talented Amadamara musician has been trialling while in police custody after his arrest in April 2022.
