SASEKANI– A collision between a bakkie (VVTI) and a VW City Golf caused traffic delays on Sunday morning along the R36 road between Rainbow and Unjani Clinic.
According to eyewitnesses, the bakkie reportedly hit the Golf from behind, leading to moderate damage to both vehicles. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported, and all occupants escaped with minor bruises.
Emergency personnel and traffic officers swiftly responded to the scene to manage traffic and assist with clearing the roadway. Recovery and clean-up operations were carried out to ensure the safe flow of traffic.
Authorities have urged motorists to remain cautious and maintain a safe following distance, especially during early morning hours when visibility can be poor.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
