RITAVI – The South African Police Service in Limpopo has launched an investigation following an incident at the Ritavi Police Station in Nkowankowa in which two police officers were found deceased.
Preliminary information suggests that the officers, a male and a female, were involved in a private relationship dispute prior to the incident.
It is alleged that male Police officer allegedly shot and killed female colleague and turned the gun on himself on Sunday, December 7.
The exact circumstances remain unclear and are now under thorough investigation.
No official statement has been issued by SAPS at this stage.
Additional support has been deployed to the station, and the Employee Health and Wellness Unit is assisting affected colleagues and families.
