A foreign national business owner viciously attacked and killed a man for repeatedly taking items without paying

GA-PHAPHADI-A man alleged to be terrorizing a foreign businessman(35), who owns a supermarket in Ga-Phaphadi village, Bolobedu, lost his life in a horrendous manner on Saturday, January 13.

Police reports indicate that the deceased Vunani Manethe, (25) , went to the supermarket and casually took food items without paying. It is said that he was in the habit of nonchalantly stealing at the shop from time to time. Unfortunately, on that fateful day, his luck ran out as the suspect is reported to have retaliated, allegedly took a sharp object and hacked him.

It is said that after committing the deed, the suspect closed shop and fled the scene.

Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba confirmed the incident citing that upon arrival at the scene, they found the victim laying in a pool of blood, motionless.

“We were alerted by community members about the incident and rushed to the scene where the victim was found in a pool of blood. He was rushed to Nkhensani hospital, but, sadly, he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the medical facility “, Malesela said.

The suspect was reportedly arrested on Sunday in Bolobedu. He is expected to appear in the Bolobedu magistrates court on charges of murder soon.
