Woman (28) found murdered in her house at Metz Village, Ga-Sekororo

METZ VILLAGE – Police in Maake have launched a manhunt for suspect(s) following the discovery of a murdered woman at Metz Village, Ga-Sekororo. The incident occurred on Saturday, 17 January 2026, at around 21:00.

According to police reports, officers were alerted to a person found dead at a residential house in Metz Village. Police immediately responded to the scene. Upon arrival, a male was found at the house and pointed out the deceased inside.

A 28-year-old woman was discovered lying on the floor with a rope tied around her neck and attached to the roof. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene and later certified the victim dead.

Initially, a case of inquest was opened pending further investigation. However, following a post-mortem examination, results confirmed that the woman had been murdered. At this stage, suspects remain unknown, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
