GRAVELOTTE – Several people were injured when a minibus taxi was involved in a crash on the R71 road on Sunday, 4 January.
The accident occurred between Gravelotte and Letsietele. It is alleged that a Toyota Quantum transporting church members to Phalaborwa suffered a tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control before the vehicle overturned.
Emergency medical services and police responded swiftly to the scene. Injured passengers were treated and transported to the nearest hospital for further medical care.
No fatalities were reported, and investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
