KHALAVHA VILLAGE– Tragedy struck the community of Khalavha this morning, 12 November 2024, as the body of 15-year-old Mukondeleli Mañala was discovered outside the village. Mukondeleli, a young student who had a bright future, was found brutally assaulted and murdered, her body left abandoned in a remote area of the village.
Mukondeleli was last seen on the evening of 11 November when she left her home to attend a church service.
After failing to return home, her worried family reported her disappearance to Siloam Police Station. Search efforts by her family and community members proved in vain, leading to a devastating discovery this morning.
According to eyewitnesses, Mukondeleli’s clothes were scattered on the ground near where her body was found, with her school bag nearby, containing a Bible.
The details surrounding her murder remain unclear, but authorities suspect unknown individuals were involved in the attack.
The tragic incident has left the community of Khalavha shaken and deeply disturbed, as cases of violence and crime in the area continue to rise.
Community leaders and residents are now calling for unity and vigilance among neighbors, urging each other to strengthen their bonds in response to the growing dangers in their village.
Police have launched an investigation into Mukondeleli’s murder and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
