BA-PHALABORWA-Palabora Copper( PMC) has handed over a Jet Sewer Machine to Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality this morning, Wednesday, March 10.
This technology – oriented Machine will assist the Municipality to clean out sewers and drain lines.
Receiving the sewer machine on behalf of the Municipality, Ba-Phalaborwa Mayor, Cllr Merriam Malatji says: Today we have received a tool that will allow us to elevate the level of service that we provide to our people because there will now be a mechanism in place that I’m told will be able to clean out sewers and drain lines.
She further said that the sewer machine is a vital addition to the work that needs to be done at the level of sanitation infrastructure. “Sanitation is one of the most important aspects of community well- being because it protects human health, extends life spans, and is documented to provide benefits to the economy. Ultimately we are looking forward to contributing to the health environment of our communities,” she said.
Mayor expressed her appreciation to Phalaborwa Copper for the strategic partnership they have with the Municipality. “We treasure this relationship and hope that it will continue to grow from strength to strength in order to develop the community of Ba-Phalaborwa.
Moreover, Palabora Copper says their engineers are ready to work closely with the municipal electrical department to resolve the power outages in Phalaborwa town.
The Mayor was accompanied by the Chief Whip, Cllr Didodo Rapatsa and delegation from Phalaborwa Copper.
