POLOKWANE- The African National Congress (ANC) in Limpopo has welcomed the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)’s founding national organiser and former CCT and national assembly member Pebane Moteka and seven (7) other members from both the DA and Action SA.
Amongst the other 7 members who were announced to be joining the ANC, include the notable political administration bigwig Risham Maharaj, who served on different structures of the DA, including MPL, Provincial Finance Chairperson and member of the DA federal council, while other six members are former senior leaders of Action SA.
These new recruits were welcomed by the ANC provincial secretary Reuben Madadzhe, during the party’s media briefing at ANC’s Frans Mohlala building, on Wednesday, 13 November.
In welcoming the recruits, Madadzhe said they will be allocated to their respective branches across the province to commence with their membership duties and will be taken through the party’s foundational training course offered by the ANC School of OR Tambo.
During the briefing, the provincial secretary further announced that, the charges which were leveled against their member, Jossey Buthane on the Juju Valley incident that left one child injured have been struck off the roll by the Polokwane Regional Magistrates Court.
” It is our view that Police have been targeting our members, instead of conducting thorough and impartial investigations,” he said.
Madadzhe further said that the party is positive that it will win the Polokwane’s ward 39 by-elections , which are taking place on Wednesday, 13 November.
