PHALABORWA -The tranquillity of Lulekani, a serene town nestled in the heart of Phalaborwa was shattered when the body of a missing man was discovered floating in the local dam on Friday morning.
Police were alerted to the grim finding after concerned locals noticed the body floating near the water’s edge. Swift action was taken, with emergency services rushing to the scene to retrieve the remains and launch an investigation into the incident.
The body was identified as Jack Mathebula who had been reported missing on the 16 April at 19h00. The circumstances leading to his disappearance and subsequent demise remain unclear, leaving both residents and police perplexed.
