Stolen Toyota Conquest found completely stripped in Sekgosese

KHUJWANA – A white Toyota Conquest that was stolen from a yard in Khujwana village under the Greater Tzaneen Municipality in the early hours of Saturday morning has been found stripped for parts in Sekgosese.

The vehicle, with registration number BSR 044 L, was taken at around 03:00 am on Saturday. According to the family, a good Samaritan provided a crucial tip-off on Sunday, leading them to a local scrap yard in Sekgosese.

On Monday morning, September 22, the family arrived at the scene, only to find the vehicle completely dismantled, with parts scattered and stripped to the finishing point.

Police have since arrested the scrap yard owner believed to have been involved in dismantling the stolen vehicle.

The Toyota Conquest allegedly taken from a yard at around 03:00 am. The car’s registration plate is BSR 044 L.

The car’s owner expressed gratitude to community members and Tzaneen Voice for helping raise awareness about the incident, which eventually led to the recovery, though in a destroyed state.

Authorities have confirmed that investigations are underway, and the arrested suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
