LEPHALALE : The Lephalale Magistrate’s Court has on Monday postponed the murder case of Emmy Serumula to Monday, September 19.
A 24-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death following an incident of domestic violence that reportedly took place at Marapong township on Saturday night, 10 September 2022.
The Police were summoned to Marapong Health Care Center at 21h37 about a man who was brought to the centre after having been stabbed and on arrival, they found a man lying dead with stab wound. A case of murder was then opened and policing commenced with investigations.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the deceased and his alleged girlfriend had an altercation while at Marapong Extension 1 and during the argument, the suspect stabbed the deceased with a sharp object.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to the injuries. He was intentified as Charles Kamogelo aged 24 from Mafikeng.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe said no one is going to be spared or treated with leniency when it comes to issues of Gender-Based Violence.
” As the Police we take a firm stance against any form of violent acts and those who are involved will be dealt harshly, said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.
