MAJAKANENG – Songs, ululations, and dancing filled the air as 268 graduates of Lesaba Initiation School returned home to Majakaneng village.

Parents and community members gathered to welcome their children back from the initiation school located outside Tickyline, under the Greater Tzaneen area.

The atmosphere was vibrant and emotional, with families overjoyed at the safe return of their loved ones. Traditional songs and dances, accompanied by ululations, created a festive environment that resonated with cultural pride and unity.

Lesaba is known for his rigorous and respected initiation school throughout the region.This important rite of passage marks the transition of the graduates from youth to adulthood, instilling in them values of responsibility, respect, and cultural heritage.

Community leaders and elders praised the efforts of both the initiates and the school’s instructors. “This ceremony is a vital part of our tradition. It reinforces our cultural identity and prepares our young men for the future,” said one of the village elders.
