MOKOPANE– One person was tragically confirmed dead at the scene, while ten others were injured following a serious single-vehicle accident involving a minibus taxi on the N1 near Sebetiela Toll Gate outside Mokopane on Monday morning.
According to reports, the minibus taxi overturned after suffering a tyre burst.
Emergency services responded to the scene, where the deceased was declared dead. All injured occupants, including the driver, were transported to hospital for medical treatment.
The accident caused traffic to come to a complete standstill, resulting in major delays along the route. Authorities later cleared the scene, and the road has since been reopened to traffic.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
