POLOKWANE – Popular Lekompo sensation Melita “Kharishma” Mogale has been hospitalised following a horrific car crash that claimed one life in the early hours of Friday morning, 31 October 2025, at the corner of Grobler and Magazyn Streets in Polokwane.
According to reports, the tragic accident occurred around 04:00am, leaving one passenger — believed to be her driver — dead at the scene. The 20-year-old Inama hitmaker was rescued from the wreckage by emergency personnel using the Jaws of Life and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
Eyewitnesses described the crash as “horrific,” with authorities confirming that a male passenger succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
“Vocalist Kharishma has reportedly survived a fatal car crash. Paramedics had to use Jaws of Life to remove the artist from the wreckage,” one report stated.
Police and emergency services attended the scene, and Magazyn Road remains temporarily closed as investigations continue. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and exercise caution in the area.
This marks the second serious accident involving the young artist in just over a year. In August 2024, Kharishma — also known by her stage name Mabosso — was involved in another crash near Sedikela Filling Station along the R37 in Ga-Kgwete, Limpopo. She sustained injuries at that time but made a full recovery.
Fans have since flooded social media with messages of support and prayers for her speedy recovery.
Authorities are still investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the latest crash.
