WISANI – The identity of an 18-year-old teenager who was allegedly stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend has been revealed.
The fatal stabbing of Remember Mushwana has sent shockwaves through the communities of Wisani and Moime, leaving residents grieving and in disbelief.
The Sekaba High School learner was reportedly attacked and stabbed in the stomach around 22:00 on Monday, 15 December 2025.
She was rushed to Dr CN Phatudi Hospital in Makhwibidung for medical treatment and later transferred to Letaba Regional Hospital in Nkowankowa, where she was sadly certified dead.
The deceased’s brother, Dumisani Mushwana, said the family is in pain and completely devastated by the tragic loss of Remember. He added that the family will release an official statement in due course.
While the motive for the murder is not yet clear, the police say domestic violence cannot be ruled out.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has directed the Ritavi police to utilize all available resources to track down the suspect.
