VERKEERDEVLEI – A 29-year-old South African rapper tragically lost his life in a head-on collision between a light truck and a sedan on the N1 near Verkeerdevlei on Thursday morning.
The artist was declared dead at the scene. Three other individuals sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Pelonomi Trauma Hospital in Bloemfontein for further medical treatment.
Emergency services confirmed that the road has since been cleared and traffic is flowing normally.
According to reports, the collision occurred at approximately 07:25. Emergency responders found the two vehicles had collided head-on, resulting in the fatality and multiple injuries.
The Verkeerdevlei Police Station has opened a case docket for culpable homicide, and investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
