PRETORIA-Members of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) from various branches across South Africa are departing the country today to attend Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s highly anticipated Night of Victory Crossoveron 31 December 2025 in Lilongwe, Malawi.
The annual crossover service, hosted by Prophet Bushiri, is one of the biggest religious gatherings on the church’s calendar and is expected to attract thousands of worshippers from across Southern Africa and beyond.
Believers travel long distances each year to be part of the prayer-filled night as they usher in the new year through worship, prophecy and thanksgiving.
ECG members described the journey as a spiritual pilgrimage, saying the crossover service holds special significance as it marks a moment of reflection on the past year and a declaration of faith for the year ahead. Many groups were seen boarding buses and flights, some carrying church regalia and national flags, as they made their way to Malawi.
Church leaders have encouraged members to travel safely and to represent both their faith and their countries responsibly during the event.
The Night of Victory Crossover is scheduled to take place on the night of 31 December 2025, continuing into the early hours of New Year’s Day in Lilongwe.
