Four people injured in R36 Mokgoloboto head-on collision

MOKGOLOBOTO – Four people were injured in a head-on collision involving a sedan and a minibus taxi on the R36 at Mokgoloboto on Tuesday afternoon.

According to preliminary information, a Renault sedan carrying three passengers allegedly veered out of its lane and collided head-on with a minibus taxi that was travelling towards town.

The taxi was reportedly being driven by an elderly woman believed to be in her 60s.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where the injured were assessed and stabilised before being transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed.

The accident caused heavy traffic congestion in the area, with motorists experiencing significant delays.

Road users are urged to be patient, exercise caution, and consider delaying their trips or using alternative routes where possible as authorities manage the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
