MAHWELERENG – A 34-year-old woman who was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend has been laid to rest, bringing a somber close to a tragic incident that shocked the local community.
The deceased, identified as Leso Sebolaishi, was allegedly attacked at Ga-Malepetleke Village on Friday, 05 December 2025, at around 21:10. According to preliminary reports, Sebolaishi was walking with a friend when the suspect, driving a maroon Nissan Micra, confronted her and accused her of infidelity.
It is alleged that the suspect approached the victim and stabbed her several times with a sharp object before fleeing the scene. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel later arrived and declared her dead.
Police confirmed that the suspect was subsequently arrested and the alleged murder weapon was recovered. Authorities believe the incident is domestic-related, and investigations are continuing.
The suspect appeared before the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 08 December 2025, facing a charge of murder.
