GIYANI – A distraught mother from Makosha Village is pleading for the public’s assistance in finding her 23-year-old son, who has been missing for weeks after reportedly travelling between Limpopo, Gauteng, and Mpumalanga.

The missing young man, Thulani Evans Chauke, left home on 18 September 2025, telling family members he was heading to Gauteng. Later that day, his mother received a call from an unknown man claiming to be with Thulani at Mooketsi Garage.

A week later, the mother received another call—this time from a relative—who said he had seen Thulani at Marabastad in Pretoria. An Uber trip was arranged to bring him home, but Thulani never arrived. The Uber driver later claimed he had dropped him off at Masingita Garage in Giyani.

On 17 November 2025, another unknown caller informed the mother that he was with Thulani at a garage in Middelburg, saying the young man had reportedly asked for transport to Zimbabwe. Since then, no further sightings have been confirmed.

Thulani was last seen wearing:Black jeans, Black T-shirt and Blue sneakers.

Police, family members, and community volunteers have conducted extensive searches, but all efforts have been unsuccessful so far.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Giyani is urging anyone who may have information that can assist in locating Thulani to come forward.
