Woman from Malamulele on the Run After Allegedly Stabbing Malawian Ex-Boyfriend

MALAMULELE-Police are searching for a woman from Malamulele who is wanted in connection with an attempted murder case after a man was allegedly stabbed multiple times last week.

According to information received, the suspect allegedly jumped over two boundary walls and forced her way into her ex-boyfriend’s rental room in Lombardy West at around 10pm, while he was asleep.

The victim, Chimzy Happy Phiri, a Malawian national, was reportedly stabbed three times during the attack. The suspect then fled the scene, and it is not yet known whether she was assisted by anyone.

It is further alleged that the suspect stole R2,000 in cash along with two bank cards (Mukuru and Hello Paisa)before leaving the victim for dead.

The following day, the victim allegedly received a threatening message from the suspect, which included a photo of a firearm and a warning that he would be killed in January.

The woman, believed to be from Mapapila village in Malamulele, previously lived with the victim but later moved to River Park in Alexandra, where she is suspected to be staying with a new partner.
