SESHEGO – Limpopo police have confirmed the arrest of a 28-year-old woman linked to a domestic violence incident that recently drew widespread attention on social media. The attack took place on Thursday, 04 December 2025, in Mmotong outside Seshego.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the victim — a 38-year-old man identified as Moshe — did not immediately open a case after the incident. However, he later approached the Seshego Police Station and formally lodged a complaint. This enabled investigators to proceed with the matter, confirming that the victim had suffered serious burn injuries allegedly caused by hot cooking oil.

Following the official complaint and subsequent investigation, police arrested the suspect on Monday, 08 December 2025. She has been charged with attempted murder.

“The suspect will appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday, 09 December 2025,” said Colonel Ledwaba.

Limpopo police have reiterated their stance that all domestic violence cases—regardless of gender—are treated with urgency and seriousness, encouraging victims to report incidents without fear.
