THOHOYANDOU- The University of Venda is celebrating a proud moment after one of its shining stars, Miss Tshepiso Mphidi, was crowned Miss Limpopo Province 2025 on 29 November 2025.
Tshepiso, originally from Thohoyandou, is more than just a beauty queen. She is a dedicated Master’s student in Social Work and serves as a Campus Care Worker within the University’s Campus Health and Student Affairs Department.
In her role, she plays an important part in supporting student wellbeing, promoting mental health, and helping to create a safe and nurturing campus environment.
Reflecting on her journey, Tshepiso said her path to the crown has been shaped by “resilience, hard work and a deep commitment to community upliftment.” She shared how running small businesses, developing creative skills, and freelancing taught her independence and the importance of creating opportunities for herself.
“As Miss Limpopo Province, my mission is to empower young people through mental health awareness, skills development and creating safer spaces for women and children.
I want my story to remind others that no dream is too far when you lead with purpose, compassion and determination,” she added.
Her message reflects the spirit of a grounded and visionary young leader, committed to service and positive change.
The Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Bernard Nthambeleni, congratulated Tshepiso on behalf of the University community, praising her exceptional achievement and dedication.
