GA-SEKORORO– A shocking incident has left the community of Kanana Village in Ga-Sekororo reeling after a newborn baby girl was found abandoned inside a fridge on Friday, September 12.
According to reports, the baby’s mother allegedly gave birth, tied a wire around the infant’s neck, wrapped her in clothes, and placed her inside a fridge before fleeing the scene.
The child was discovered by her father, who immediately called for assistance.
A ward committee member, accompanied by a friend, rushed the baby to Sekororo Clinic. She was later transferred to hospital for further medical care.
Despite the traumatic circumstances, the newborn is said to be in good spirits and recovering well.
Police have since launched a manhunt for the mother, who is believed to be on the run. Investigations are ongoing.
