School security guard robbed by armed men at Mhangweni village

MHANGWENI -A primary school security guard was robbed on Thursday, May 23  at one of the primary schools in Mhagweni village by three unknown men.

It is alleged that they entered the school premises, and two of them, armed with firearms, fired a warning shot and instructed the security officer to lie down.

They then tie him with a cloth. They broke into the principal’s office with a grinder and were unable to open a safe.

The suspects robbed a security officer of a cellphone and fled the scene on foot. The police have opened a business robbery case.
