KGAPANE – The 13-year-old Sabatha Emmy Lebea who was reported missing has been found in Politsi after an alleged 7-day kidnapping ordeal.
Her mother confirmed that the Grade 10 learner was found around midnight with her hands tied with a rope.
Sabatha was last seen on Thursday, 12 March 2026, at around 06:40 when she went to Tshweni High School, where she was reportedly seen at the reception before disappearing.
Speaking at the South African Police Service station in Bolobedu, her mother, Kedinone Gladys Lebea, said the child was allegedly taken by unknown suspects driving a white VW Polo and kept in a house without windows.
“She is very disturbed, constantly complaining about her legs and coughing a lot,” the mother said.
The learner was found wearing the same school uniform she had on the day she went missing.
According to a security officer, she was allegedly kidnapped by two unknown men speaking an unfamiliar language.
Police investigations are ongoing as authorities work to trace the suspects involved.
