POLOKWANE – A 36-year-old man was fatally stabbed following a heated argument over a trolley in the Polokwane CBD on Wednesday, 06 August 2025.
The incident took place along Church Street, near a well-known supermarket, and shocked bystanders who witnessed the altercation escalate into violence.
According to Limpopo Police Spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the two men were seen arguing over a trolley when the situation turned deadly.
“It is alleged that the suspect stabbed the victim with a sharp object in the upper body during the argument. The victim collapsed on the tar road,” said Ledwaba.
Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene, but the victim was sadly declared dead upon their arrival.
The identity of the suspect remains unknown at this stage. A case of murder has been opened and police have launched a manhunt.
