SESHEGO-A 33-year-old man was taken into custody by police in Seshego on Wednesday in connection with the murder of his 26-year-old girlfriend.
The woman’s lifeless body was discovered in their home in Seshego Zone 3 on Tuesday night, August 13, 2025.
According to police, the victim had sustained multiple injuries and her body showed signs of early decomposition, suggesting she may have been killed several days prior to the discovery.
The suspect, who was residing with the victim at the time of the incident, was arrested at the scene and is expected to appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Friday, August 15, 2025, facing a charge of murder.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, condemned the incident, describing it as “deeply disturbing and senseless.” He urged communities to report any signs of domestic violence before they escalate to tragic outcomes.
Police investigations are ongoing.
