SESHEGO – Shock and disbelief gripped students and staff at Seshego TVET College Campus after a newborn baby was discovered dumped inside a toilet bin on Friday.

According to preliminary reports, a young woman allegedly gave birth on the campus premises before abandoning the baby in a toilet.

The horrifying discovery was made by cleaners who were carrying out their routine duties when they noticed blood and immediately alerted the campus authorities.

Emergency services and the police were called to the scene. The baby’s condition has not yet been confirmed, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The woman suspected to have given birth has not yet been identified, but sources within the campus say she may be a student. Authorities are working to locate and apprehend her for questioning.

The incident has left the campus community shaken, with many expressing outrage and heartbreak. “This is deeply disturbing. We never thought something like this could happen here,” said one student.

Capricorn TVET College has confirmed the incident through an official statement, expressing deep concern over what transpired earlier in the day at their Seshego Campus.
