NKOWANKOWA-The hunt for a win continues for Tzaneen United as they have yet to taste a victory in the ABC Motsepe League Stream B after they were edged 1-0 by log leaders The Dolphin FC at Nkowankowa Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

United entered the game looking for the first win in their maiden season in the third tier of the South African league, however, despite starting the game on a high note, the win eluded them once again.

They controlled much of the first half though they couldn’t produce enough chances, with the visitors sitting at the back soaking the pressure that united exerted.

It was in the second half that Dolphins came alive and managed to score all the important goals that ensured they grab the maximum points.

Former Mariveni Coach Dodo Tapfumaneyi, who guided Mariveni United to Nedbank Cup last 32 in 2017, blamed the second-half substitution for their third defeat.

“We played well in the first half, we managed to put them under pressure and it unfortunate we couldn’t score. We controlled the game in all departments and we were unfortunate not to score a goal,” said coach Dodo.

Tzaneen United’s next fixture will be away to Phinnet City on the 28th of October
