ALLDAYS – A 17-year-old girl has been arrested after she allegedly poured hot water on a 20-year-old woman and hit her with a bottle during a violent confrontation over a boyfriend in Denstaat village under the Alldays policing area.
The incident occurred on Friday, 07 November 2025, around 21:00.
According to reports, the victim was asleep when the suspect woke her up and accused her of being involved with her boyfriend after allegedly finding photographs of the victim on his cellphone.
An argument ensued, during which the suspect reportedly poured hot water on the victim before striking her several times on the head and face with a bottle.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police were alerted and swiftly responded to the scene, where they opened a case of attempted murder.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and is expected to appear before the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 10 November 2025, facing a charge of attempted murder.
Police have urged community members to seek peaceful ways to resolve relationship disputes and avoid resorting to violence.
