GA-SEKORORO-In a dramatic turn of events, the Isuzu NP300 truck, registration number DMZ022L, which was hijacked on Thursday afternoon, has been successfully recovered in the bushes near Metz in Ga Sekororo.
The vehicle, owned by Sunbake Bakery, was ambushed by a group of armed men who hijacked the driver in an apparent brazen act of theft. The truck, which was used for the bakery’s deliveries, was subsequently taken to an undisclosed location before being recovered by authorities.
The recovery took place after a concerted effort by law enforcement officers, who followed leads in the area of Metz. While the truck has been found, authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the incident. The hijackers remain at large.
The Sunbake Bakery truck, a vital part of the local supply chain, was found abandoned in a remote area, but it is unclear whether any goods were taken or damaged during the hijacking.
