MAKHADO – A cross-border minibus taxi overturned along the N1 Mashovhela near Makhado, just before the tunnel, on the evening of Tuesday, October 21.
According to early reports, the minibus taxi — which was towing a trailer — rolled and came to rest across the road, blocking traffic.
The cause of the accident is not yet known at this stage, and authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but details regarding the number of injuries or fatalities have not yet been confirmed.
The incident comes just a few days after a tragic bus crash on the same route, which claimed the lives of 43 passengersand left several others injured.
Motorists traveling along the N1 are urged to approach the area with caution as clean-up and recovery operations continue.
