Both halves of the Eastern Cape were expected to stay mostly dry. Morning fog was possible south of the escarpment in the western half before fine and warm weather developed.

The eastern half of the Eastern Cape was forecast to be fine and warm all day. Fresh to strong north-easterly winds were expected along its coast.
