University of Venda Praises Makhadzi for Helping 20 Learners with Registration Fees

THOHOYANDOU – The University of Venda (Univen) has extended heartfelt gratitude to award-winning artist Makhadzi for her generous initiative to assist disadvantaged students with their registration fees.

The Murahu hitmaker’s philanthropic gesture has made a significant impact, supporting 20 students in their pursuit of higher education.

Last week, Makhadzi made a public call to help students struggling with the financial burden of university registration fees. In response, she received an overwhelming number of applications from hopeful learners. After carefully reviewing the requests, she randomly selected 20 students who would receive assistance with their registration fees.

Univen took to social media to express their appreciation for the artist’s kindness, calling her a “Queen” and emphasizing how much this means to the students and the university community as a whole.

“Words cannot express the gratitude that the University of Venda feels towards Queen Makhadzi for her generous act of kindness towards our students, particularly in assisting with their registration fees,” Univen wrote on their official social media page.

The initiative, which Makhadzi dubbed the “Makhadzi Student Registration Initiative,” has already garnered significant attention, with over 5,000 applications submitted in less than 24 hours. This highlights the dire need for financial support among students who face financial barriers to accessing education.
