BOLOBEDU SOUTH- Managing a bunch of talented young people who grew up knowing crime as the only resort to survive and music as a mere hobby to be popular with, needs a manager who is not only strict but also understand their dynamics , Zimba wa Bolobedu has his head on the block to cleanse the notoriety within Bad Company music crew.
Under the tutelage of its leader ‘General Manizo’, Bad Company catapulted into the music industry limelight with its unique amadamara genre distinguished with great dancing moves that saw both old and young emulates them.
It was songs such as ‘taba tsa mabad, Welcome back Manizo, some sokolo, Mahwela sopo’ that pushed them to the ceiling and made them the best amadamara music crew in Limpopo.
However, their notorious behaviour and continued arrests in connection with various criminal activities made them to fall easily from the grace of their great talents.
With General Manizo arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, the remaining of Bad Company crew needed a straightforward figure and a manager who will keep them away from criminality and guide them to reach their full potential in the music industry and Zimba wa bolobedu had stepped up to the stage to keep the crew motivated and focused.
” Honestly speaking is not easy to work with these guys, however I am fighting so hard to keep them away from crime and ensure that they remain fully focused on their careers and attend all the gigs” Zimba said.
He further said to keep them on the leash, he’s strict and always supporting them both financially and emotionally and cut them from any association that might make them to re-live their past.
Zimba wa bolobedu who is also a Bolo-house Music promoter said the crew is changed and focused and confirmed that he has secured them a gig in Botswana.
“I can confirm that the crew is changed and fully focused, our plan is to make sure that they no longer perform at the taverns but to bigger events, where people would not try to pick up fights with them due to their historical activities ” he concluded.
While their Godfather Manizo is still arrested, his little brother Small T is the lead vocalist and Hlatse Boy and Small beast are the dancers and punisher as a producer.
