Young Boy died after parents removed him from Initiation School in Bolobedu

GA-WALLY– A young boy from Ga-Wally Village has tragically passed away following his forceful withdrawal from the Modjadji initiation school.

The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning.

According to The Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements, and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA) the boy, whose identity has not been disclosed, was removed from the initiation school by his parents on Saturday, June 22. The reasons behind this abrupt withdrawal remain unclear.

Unfortunately, the young boy died the following day, Sunday, June 23, while in the custody of his parents at home.

At this stage, the cause of death is unknown, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

Authorities are working diligently to uncover the facts and provide clarity to the grieving family and the community.

The Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements, and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA) confirmed the incident and expressed deep sorrow over the incident.

In a statement, COGHSTA extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, acknowledging the profound loss they are enduring during this difficult time.
