MIDRAND-The National Lottery operator, Ithuba, recently confirmed that the lucky winner had officially claimed the grand prize, making her one of South Africa’s newest multi-millionaires.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Pick n Pay store located in Hazeldean Square, Pretoria, for the Lotto draw number 2461, which took place on August 3, 2024.

However, despite the enormous sum at stake, the prize remained unclaimed for nearly three weeks, prompting Ithuba to urge all lottery participants in the Pretoria area to double-check their tickets.

The search for the winner became a topic of interest nationwide as Ithuba issued several public appeals, hoping to locate the holder of the winning ticket.

On Sunday, the suspense finally ended when Ithuba confirmed that the winner had been found.

This life-changing win has drawn widespread attention, as the newly minted millionaire now joins the ranks of South Africa’s largest Lotto winners.

Ithuba expressed its excitement and extended heartfelt congratulations to the winner, who now embarks on a new chapter with a R100 million windfall.
