GROBLERSDAL – A 31-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with murder following the alleged fatal stabbing of her 30-year-old ex-boyfriend in Groblersdal, Sekhukhune District, on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Police reports indicate that the incident occurred at approximately 17:30 when the deceased arrived at a location and found his ex-girlfriend with a friend. An argument broke out, escalating into a heated confrontation during which the woman allegedly stabbed the victim with a sharp object.
The victim attempted to flee but collapsed on the veranda, where he was subsequently declared dead by Emergency Medical Services personnel. The suspect was apprehended at the scene.
Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Major General Samuel Manala, cautioned individuals in romantic relationships to seek assistance when facing difficulties, rather than resorting to violence. He emphasized the importance of seeking help from relevant professionals to resolve disagreements peacefully.
The suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court soon to face murder charges. The community is reminded that violence is never an acceptable solution to relationship conflicts and that help is always available for those who seek it.
