Woman allegedly murdered by Limpopo traffic officer dumped at Chueenespoort was identified as TUT student Polokwane Campus

POLOKWANE- The 26-year-old Kedidimetse Moche who was a student at The Tshwane University Of Technology (TUT) Polokwane Campus was this past weekend laid to rest in Vosloorus, Ekhuruleni in Gauteng.

Moche was found dead in Chuenespoort outside Lebowakgomo with a gunshot wound on the abdomen and the upper body.

Her lifeless body was discovered by a passerby who alerted the police on the 17th of August.

The 34year-old Limpopo Traffic Officer Kabelo Peter Duba arrested for allegedly killing her and later dumping her body in Lebowakgomo, made a brief Court appearance on  August 28 before the Polokwane and  Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Courts respectively where he was remanded in custody to Monday, September 04 for further Police’ investigation.

The suspect is facing charges of murder, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition, theft of the deceased’s cellphone and defeating the ends of justice.

The suspect, attached to the Polokwane Provincial Traffic, was arrested on Thursday 24 August 2023 at his homestead in Penina Park Polokwane, by members of the Provincial Murder and Robbery and Tracking Team after he was positively linked with the incident in which the body of an unknown woman was found dumped under a bridge at Chuenespoort in Lebowakgomo Policing precinct on Thursday 17  August 2023.

During the arrest,  Police recovered an unlicensed firearm with ammunition as well as some exhibits.
