MAKGAKGAPATJE VILLAGE-A 32-year-old woman allegedly killed her 38-year-old boyfriend after they were involved in a money dispute on Saturday at Makgakgapatje village, Ga Mmamaila in Greater Letaba.
Giyani police said that the victim who is the father of four children belonging to the suspect was at Tanani Motel drinking with his friends.
The suspect reportedly asked to speak to the victim outside the motel, and the dispute ensured between the two, and she allegedly stabbed him to death and left his body on the street.
Giyani police spokesman Constable Ridgewell Rikhotso said that the motel owner had summoned the police and upon arrival, at the crime scene they had found body.
“The investigation led the police to the girlfriend’s place, and she was arrested after producing the knife that she used to stab the victim”.
The deceased was identified as Tinyiko Shidzinga.
Rikhotso went on to say that domestic violence cannot be ruled out.
The suspect is expected to appear at the Giyani Magistrate’s Court today.
