TZANEEN-Vondwe XI Bullets continue their impressive run in the ABC Motsepe League Stream A, maintaining their position at the top of the table with 15 points.
Their lead is sustained only by goal difference, as Musina United, also on 15 points, closely trails them. Nkowankowa Continental remains in third place with 14 points, just one behind the front runners.
At the opposite end of the table, Thlothlokwe Golden Syrup remains rooted to the bottom with only two points after nine matches. Winners Park, based in Bellevue Village, also finds themselves in a precarious position, sitting in 11th place with seven points.
Nkowankowa Continental and Tzaneen United endured disappointing outings in the latest round of fixtures. Tzaneen United fell 1-0 to Maruleng Celtic on Saturday at Nkowankowa Stadium.
The defeat marked United’s third loss of the season, while Maruleng Celtic celebrated only their second victory in seven matches.
Nkowankowa Continental, meanwhile, suffered a 2-0 home loss to Munaca FC on Sunday, leaving them with a weekend to forget.
Thlothlokwe Golden Syrup’s winless streak extended to nine games after a goalless draw against Mpheni Home Defenders at home. The basement dwellers have managed just two draws and have suffered a staggering seven losses so far this campaign, highlighting their struggles in the competition.
In Phalaborwa, league leaders Vondwe XI Bullets were held to a 1-1 draw by Selwane White Vultures in challenging conditions under the scorching heat. Despite the draw, the Bullets managed to cling to the top spot on the log.
With the top three teams separated by just one point, the ABC Motsepe League Stream A promises a tightly contested battle as the season progresses. While Vondwe XI Bullets will look to consolidate their lead, Musina United and Nkowankowa Continental will be eager to capitalize on any slip-ups. At the bottom, Thlothlokwe Golden Syrup face a monumental task to turn their season around.
