THOHOYANDOU-A female student from the University of Venda has been left in critical condition after she jumped out of the window of her third-floor room on campus in an allegedly attempted suicide on Sunday evening.
Emergency services said they received reports of a female student threatening to jump from the third floor earlier this evening.
The female student whose identity is unknown at this stage locked herself in the room and jumped out of the building and sustaining critical injuries in the process.
Paramedics worked to stabilise the critical patient, she was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
