The University of Limpopo released an official statement in response to Nthabiseng Ramokolo ’s claim of being a graduate of the University after she was seen wearing scrubs and a coat bearing the University’s name and logo. This has created the impression that she holds a pharmacy qualification from UL.

The alleged ‘bogus’ pharmacist Instagrammer claims to have been graduated in 2022,  worked at Dischem and currently working at WF Knobel Hospital in Moletjie outside Seshego.

The university says after checking all records, they would like to state that Nthabiseng Ramokolo is not a UL pharmacy graduate and that she was never a student of the University. Additionally, her claims on social media that she is a master’s student at UL are false.

Nthabiseng Ramokolo Rock scrubs and coat to different nightclubs in Polokwane.

The Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UL, Professor Tebogo Mothiba, said: “The records of the University do not contain any information on Nthabiseng Ramokolo, and our faculty members, as well as current and former students, have confirmed that they have never met her before.”

“The use of UL, its name or logo, by anyone to misrepresent their academic qualifications is unlawful. UL reserves the right to take whatever action necessary to protect its reputation and the credibility of its qualifications”

According to reports Ramokolo uses her status to lure rich men at a popular night club in Polokwane.

The story emerged just after few days after bogus tiktoker Doctor Mathew Lani was denied by Wits University and the Gauteng Department of Education.

Lani has garnered a following for the medical advice he shares on TikTok, where he claims to be a Wits Medical School graduate – which has distanced itself from him – and the “youngest doctor to own a pharmaceutical company in South Africa”.

“Based on the names presented to the institution and the facts on hand, the university cannot find any person who graduated by the name of Matthew Bongani Zingelwa or Sanele Zingelwa in recent years,” said a statement from Wits

Department of Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo Ralehoko has opened a case of fraud against him. To add salt to the wound the Gauteng Department of Education says he has never matriculated. Cambridge International College also confirmed that they do not know him and that he has never studied at the institution.
