UNIVEN students expected in court following violent protests

ṰHOHOYANḒOU – Four University of Venda students arrested in connection with the violent protest are expected to appear before the Thoyandou Magistrate on Wednesday, September 27.

The suspended SRC president, Gudani Tshamaano and the other three students were arrested for malicious damage to the property last week.

University of Venda students are expected to demonstrate outside the Ṱhohoyanḓou Magistrate’s Court, demanding the release of their fellow students who were arrested following a violent protest over pending allowances, poor Wi-Fi connection, etc in Ṱhohoyanḓou.

The student suspects will appear at the Ṱhohoyanḓou Magistrate’s Court today after their case was postponed yesterday.
