TZANEEN- SASSA beneficiaries are outraged after some were unable to access their child support grants at various Post Office pay- points on Friday, November 04.
Tzaneen Voice spoke Tinyiko Ngobeni, a young mother who visited the Post Office Tzaneen branch today hoping to access the funds. Unfortunately, she was unable to make a withdrawal due to the system’s ongoing “technical glitches”.
“I came to town early hoping to buy a few things for my kids and rush back home but I couldn’t. This has left me frustrated. It’s a huge inconvenience”, she said.
Meanwhile, post bank interim CEO Lucas Ndlala and sassa Executive Manager for grants administration released a joint statement apologizing for the inconvenience.
“Our teams are working around the clock to retain full services availability within our post office branches. All customers are advised to utilize the retailers and ATMs as alternatives”.
