The disappearance of the mobile kitchen has dealt a blow to the business woman who runs it. The owner, Wendy Mojela from Serare Village in Greater Tzaneen, said that this matter has consequently brought her business down to its knees.

According to Mojela, on Wednesday August 17, in the wee hours of the morning, her sister was home alone when she heard unusual sounds outside the house and went to investigate. Upon peeking through the window, she spotted a van driving away with the kitchen.

A security footage from the neighborhood revealed that the vehicle that is suspected to be the one that allegedly transported the kitchen belongs to ADT fidelity security company. However, according to Mojela, the company’s official who only introduced himself to her as” Rambhuda”, has allegedly been ducking and diving and failing to offer any help or way forward after they brought the matter to his attention.

“The business is my livelihood. I have alerted the police and the company that we suspect the vehicle spotted in the footage belongs to. I have now resorted to asking for help from the media in the hope that it will speed up the recovery of the kitchen,” Mojela said.

ADT Fidelity Polokwane officials could not be reached for comment.

Polokwane police are investigating the incident and plead to anyone with information to come forward. Alternatively, they can contact Detective Mpho Mamabolo on 071 6759 035
