LULEKANI: The police in Lulekani have arrested a 35- and 39-year-old men for stock theft and in possession of suspected stolen cattle meat.
On 31 May 2022 at about 17:30, members of the South African Police Service received information from members of the community about suspected stolen cattle meat being sold. The police reacted swiftly and on arrival they found one suspect selling the meat inside the buckets, it is alleged that the suspect was arrested immediately.
According to the police statement, it was through the police interrogation, the suspect then took the police to his accomplice where full cattle left overs including the head was found inside the house and he was also arrested immediately.
The two suspects also took the police to the nearby bushes where this ordeal of slaughtering cattle took place.
The suspects appeared before Lulekani Magistrate Court on June 02 and they were all charged with stock theft. They have been remanded in custody for 09 June 2022, pending further police investigation.
